La Trobe University, Australia announces First Recipient of Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship from India
Sandeep Anumalasetti from Hyderabad, India has been rewarded with this Prestigious Scholarship worth over INR 35 lacs [AUD 74,400], considering his Academic Excellence and his Commitment in making a difference in the Community. He will enrol for the Master of Information Technology.
La Trobe University a multi-campus university in Victoria, Australia has honoured its First Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship to Sandeep Anumalasetti from Hyderabad, India. Sandeep is the recipient of the Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship. He will commence his studies online in November 2020 and will move to Australia to study at La Trobe University’s Melbourne Campus as soon as the International borders open.
Vice-Chancellor & President, La Trobe University, Professor John Dewar AO, said that the recent pandemic - COVID-19 has impacted globally. In today’s time, international learning is a big choice, particularly when the future is still uncertain. At La Trobe, we have planned a range of scholarships to attract ambitious and high achieving students like Sandeep. Sandeep Anumalasetti, from Hyderabad, India and has been rewarded with the Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship worth INR 35 lacs [AUD 74400]. Since 2014, he has worked as a Scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), in roles ranging from Developing Software to controlling Spacecraft. Sandeep hopes to take his career even further by studying Master of Information Technology at La Trobe.
On being rewarded this coveted Award-VC Excellence Scholarship, Sandeep said, “This Master’s Degree will open doors to New Skills and create New Opportunities for me to explore. I am certain that the world-class Infrastructure, insightful Professors and Innovative hubs at La Trobe will play a vital role in shaping my future. In addition, I am also looking forward to life at La Trobe, as a Passionate Mentor, I can’t wait to help other students.”
