D TAXI INDUSTRTIAL COOPERATIVE SOCIETY

The D Taxi Industrial Cooperative Society was registered on 02.05.2018 and started on 03.05.2018 with 25 members. The main objective of the society is providing the earnings fully to the call taxi driver-members of the society and also relieving them from the clutches of private call taxi companies. 

The main drawback of the private call taxi companies is taking the major portion of the earnings of the drivers as commission. With the meagre balance of their earnings, they are struggling for their day to day life. Hence, they wanted to establish a society for themselves. Thus "Call Taxi" Drivers Industrial Co-operative Society was born. General public also will get benefit and secure travelling because the society is working under the control of Department of Industries and Commerce.

This society was registered with Industries and Commerce Department of Tamil Nadu Government. So it paved the way that the society will function under the control of the Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce. It is the first type of society in Tamil Nadu and also a pioneer venture under Cooperative Sector. 
The society working on the basis of hiring "Application (App)" on monthly rent provides the "App" to its driver-members at a monthly rent of Rs. 2400/- and collects service charges of Rs. 500/- per month along with GST. There is no commission; no hidden charges. As on date 800 drivers have enrolled themselves as members in the society and applied for "App" service. After launching the App service, 3000 driver- members are expected to be benefited.
